The name Mashariki means East—the place where the sun rises. For us, it represents hope, new beginnings, and the promise of what is possible when talent meets opportunity.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of travelling across many parts of Africa, meeting extraordinary young innovators, entrepreneurs, artists, and changemakers. Everywhere I went, I saw the same powerful reality: despite facing complex challenges, Africa's youth are not waiting for change—they are creating it.
They are building businesses where jobs are scarce.
They are designing digital solutions where systems are failing.
They are using creativity and innovation to reimagine the future of their communities.
We founded Mashariki Creative to connect this incredible energy with the tools, networks, and opportunities needed to thrive. With offices across East Africa and in the United Kingdom, we are uniquely positioned to foster collaboration across continents.
But more than anything, Mashariki Creative is about belief. We believe in the creativity of Africa's youth. We believe in the power of collaboration across borders. And we believe that when young people are empowered, they can transform not only their own futures, but the future of the continent.
